Particular Breeze

The installation follows mineral traces and explores the question of what remains of a mountain after the intensive extraction of rock. The work is based on video and image recordings from the Carrara quarries in Italy. Stone dust particles in the air after darkening become visible through the sensitivity of the camera and reveal a kind of ghostly remnant of the quarried mountains.
